Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account data: phone number, email (if you sign in with Google), display name, role (dancer / hirer / studio).
• Profile data: dance styles, city, bio, profile photo, Instagram handle, height — only what you choose to add.
• Videos: spotlight reels and audition submission videos. Stored on Firebase Storage (Google Cloud) and Supabase Storage.
• Messages: text messages between users, stored in our database to deliver to the recipient.
• Location (city only): manually entered by you. We do not collect precise GPS.
• Usage data: page views, audition applications, video views — used to rank discovery feeds and prevent abuse.

2. How we use it

• Show your profile and videos to hirers and other dancers on the platform.
• Send OTP login codes via SMS / email.
• Deliver messages between users.
• Recommend relevant auditions and dancers based on styles, city, and engagement.
• Detect and prevent fraud, scams, and abuse (Scam Shield).
• We never sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data storage & processors

Data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL, hosted on AWS ap-southeast-1, Singapore) and Firebase (Google Cloud, asia-south1, Mumbai). Both processors comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) requirements and provide encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest.

4. Your rights (DPDPA Section 11–14)

• Right to access: request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
• Right to erasure: request permanent deletion of your account and associated content. In-app: Profile → ⋯ → DELETE ACCOUNT. We comply within 30 days.
• Right to correction: update profile info anytime from the Profile page.
• Right to withdraw consent: stop using the platform and request deletion — same channel as erasure.
• Right to grievance redressal: contact our Grievance Officer (below). We respond within 30 days as required by DPDPA Section 13.

5. Children

Nriv is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a minor has registered, email us and we will remove the account immediately.

6. Cookies

Only essential session cookies required for authentication. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in-app and via push notification before they take effect. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
